There are two types of female hormones, estrogen and progesterone.
Both of them are secreted from ovary being ordered by the hypothalamus in the brain. secreting of female hormones is stable from pubescence to sex maturation stage because the connection between the hypothalamus in the brain and ovary.
But the hypothalamus in the brain keeps to order to secrete female hormones to ovary when it comes to 40 years old that ovarian follicle comes to decrease. Then the hypothalamus in the brain comes to be panic because of lack of the amount of female hormones.

What causes the failing in climacteric?

The hypothalamus in the brain is located in the center of autonomic neuron that controls body temperature, heartbeat, the adjustment of blood pressure which related to the important functions in biological activity.
If the hypothalamus in the brain becomes to panic because of lack of the female hormones during climacteric, and cause the disorder in autonomic neuron, many symptoms in body and mentality come to appear.
It is saying that more than 200 types of symptoms come to appear because of the decrease of female hormones and disorder in autonomic neuron.
